How do I know if my counters need to be resealed?
They turn a darker color when wet, are hard to clean, stain easily, and/or are cracked, chipped, or peeling.
How long does the resealing/repairing process take?
Generally, 1-2 weeks depending on the size of the job. Total square footage of less than 50 can usually be done in about 7-10 days.
Will I be able to use my kitchen while the work is being completed?
No for the sink and stove, but yes for the fridge and microwave. Please plan to use another sink to wash dishes.
How much dust/mess does your work create?
Little to no mess as I use a Hepa filter sander and I cover counters in plastic and if needed can put up a plastic zipwall.
How long will the sealer last? Will the counters be easier to clean after resealing?
With proper care up to 10 years or more. Yes, they will be able to be easily wiped clean using a mild, nonabrasive soap. We recommend a cleaning solution that’s 10 oz water, 10 oz vinegar, and 2 oz rubbing alcohol. Please DO NOT WAX the counters.
Can you fix stains and cracks?
Yes, I fill in cracks and pinholes with grout and then a glaze would be used to hide stains and make filled cracks unnoticeable.
Do you only reseal kitchen counters?
I can repair/reseal many kinds of concrete items in the house including bathroom vanities, concrete sinks, outdoor kitchens, concrete tables, and more.
Do you make concrete countertops?
Yes, I am able to pour new countertops, provided you have a garage that I’m able to use for at least 2 weeks. I don’t have a warehouse, so I would need to make the concrete and pour into molds on site.
Why should I choose concrete over quartz or granite?
Customization options available including different textures, colors, styles to achieve the look you want. All concrete is handmade and locally sourced.
